Cooking with The Survival Chic
Welcome to Cooking with The Survival Chic
If there is anything I love more than prepping, it is cooking! I want to share with you some of my families favorite meals. After being a vegan for several months, I decided I would transition into a vegetarian diet(it's my cheese addiction) to be honest this was one of the hardest things I've had to kick. Those cravings of cheese and bread were my biggest downfall during my weight loss journey. Here you will find a lot of different meals I've prepared for my family throughout the year. My family sticks primarily to a organic diet, my children and I do eat chicken and turkey but no red meat.
This is meatless penne I made while being vegan (hence no cheese or meat in it) It was very tasty though, I used garlic salt, oregano, salt and pepper to flavor it. It was very simple and fast.
This is penne pasta with cheese and broccoli, seasoned with salt and pepper. I tried to keep it simple yet still flavorful. The pasta was cooked in a butter sauce before adding the broccoli.

Brown Rice and Quinoa, this is normally a staple in my home. We usually add this to meals for a quick side dish.

I start off each morning drinking water and then have breakfast. This is what a normal breakfast looks like in my household, normally I give the kids pancakes or waffles with fruit while I enjoy a smoothie. (sometimes I have a waffle as well) if I'm feeling extra hungry that day and need some quick energy
